Defence-related skills funding competition

We’re working with the Ministry of Defence to provide £80 million funding to support defence-related skills courses.

The purpose of this scheme is to increase the supply of appropriately qualified graduates in computing and engineering, to deliver defence industry relevant skills and specialisms. 

Institutions should use the bidding guidance and template below to prepare their bid, then submit their bid through the OfS portal by Friday 20 March 2026.
