Quality assessment report: BSc and BA Business Management courses at RTC Education Ltd
This report represents the conclusions of an assessment team that undertook an assessment of quality between November 2022 and May 2023 of the business and management courses provided by RTC Education Ltd.

In May 2022, as a result of our general monitoring, we opened an investigation into the quality of business and management courses provided by RTC Education Ltd (trading as Regent College London), leading to qualifications awarded by the University of Greater Manchester and Buckinghamshire New University.
We appointed an assessment team in October 2022 to provide expert advice and judgements about the quality of the college’s business and management courses.
The assessment team identified concerns from its review of this information relating to condition B1: Academic experience, condition B2: Resources and support and condition B4: Assessment and awards. Following consideration of the quality assessment report, the OfS found that:
- RTC Education Ltd and the University of Greater Manchester had breached conditions B1, B2 and B4
- Buckinghamshire New University had breached conditions B2 and B4.
We have considered the actions that the college is taking in response to the concerns identified in the quality assessment report. If implemented effectively, these actions should address the concerns. We have also considered the actions of the two universities. We have imposed a specific ongoing condition of registration on the University of Greater Manchester to ensure it remedies its breaches. We considered that the actions of Buckinghamshire New University were effective in remedying its breaches.
The OfS has therefore decided to close this investigation. The OfS will continue monitoring RTC Education Ltd and the University of Greater Manchester to ensure that students’ interests are protected. As part of this monitoring, we will undertake a further quality assessment that includes the BSc Business Management courses taught at RTC Education Ltd on behalf of the University of Greater Manchester. We consider that this further assessment will establish whether, in practice, the breaches found at the college have been remedied.
